Clear Food Review welcomes pitches that help readers understand food labels and packaging more accurately. We are interested in focused, evergreen explanations that make a confusing detail legible without turning it into a product verdict.
What to pitch
Propose a specific question about ingredient lists, nutrition panels, product claims, dates, storage wording or comparisons between similar products. A strong pitch explains what readers often misunderstand, the distinction your piece will clarify and why the topic remains useful beyond a passing trend.
What makes a good contribution
Use plain language, explain terms before relying on them and distinguish label facts from interpretation. Keep the scope manageable, show what information cannot establish, and avoid unsupported health promises, alarmist framing or advice that depends on an individual's circumstances.
How to send a proposal
Send your proposal through the Contact page. Include a working title, a short summary of the central question, the points you would explain and any relevant experience or sources you would draw on. A pitch is a proposal, not a guarantee of publication.
A label is a starting point, not the whole story.
Packaging can help answer specific questions, but it cannot describe every aspect of a food or decide what suits every reader. We explain the information in view and leave room for personal choice.
